BAN “TAKING” THE KNEE

Of all the guff and nonsense we were bombarded with by the media over the European Football Cup – I’d swear that BBC Radio 4 had more on it than they did on their racist pro-black  propaganda and fawning LBGT support combined – there was one, single comment that shone like a beacon of common sense.

Much of the nation was disgusted if not sickened by the final kick off which meant that England lost in a match in which they and Italy both played  with equal talent, but the sheer unfairness of deciding the end result  was summed up by an American sport’s commentator.

He described the system of a penalty kick-off to determine winners in a game of football as the second game in a two game match.  Rather like, shall we say, a game of Rugby with equal scores being settled by a game of cricket in which the first batsman bowled out loses the match.

Surely, a much fairer way of determining the winners between England and Italy – indeed any two football sides in a draw situation – would be to base it on which side had spent more time in the other side’s half of the pitch or which side had the most kicks at goal.

And why, for Pete’s sake, are these kick offs called penalties? Do any of the numpties who run football understand even the meaning of the word? It means “punishment” fercrying out loud. Who was being punished and for bloody what?

The other thing which was equally disgusting about the match was some players and certainly all the black players indulging in the highly political  theatre of “taking the knee”. It may be unintentional but it stirs up race hate.

The daft thing is that, apart from the fact that it is bad English – “bending the knee” would be a more appropriate description – it is the complete opposite of what black people want to get across. It is an act signifying abeyance or obedience. It is an act black slaves would adopt towards their masters.

Unfortunately, brain dead white supremacists don’t know this. If they did then surely they would accept it as their due. They see it as an act of black defiance.

If the honest intention of black people in performing it is to send out the message: “black lives matter” then in England where “white lives matter” equally, it is at best ludicrously inapt and, at worst open to the charge of racism

Whatever is intended by the performers of this confusing act it is worsening racial tensions because more and more white people are seeing it as some sort of black racist abuse and it has no place on the sport’s field, be it football or egg and spoon racing. IT SHOULD BE BANNED.

  1. Just where do you get the idea from that Taking the Knee is politically inspired? From some of your pink trousered middle aged white mates I guess.
