FIND THE MOTIVE – FIND THE GUILTY PARTY

THIS ITEM CONCERNING THE AL-AHLI ARAB HOSPITAL IN GAZA WAS WRITTEN ON 18/10/23 THE DAY AFTER THE TRAGEDY. IT WAS NOT PUBLISHED UNTL TODAY 26/10/23 DUE TO TECHNICAL PROBLEMS.

One of the worst disasters in the current Israeli – Hamas conflict came yesterday,  with the indescribably horrific  bombing of a hospital in the south of Gaza

At the time of writing the death toll among those in the hospital and others sheltering in the grounds, in the mistaken belief that they would be safe from attack, is estimated at over 500

Within a matter of hours of the incident, both sides were blaming the other, Hamas claiming it was a result of ongoing attacks by Israel by land based rocket fire and areal bombardment and Israel that it was a weapon fired from within Gaza that had “gone astray”.

There is a simple way of deciding which side is the most likely to be responsible. Who had the most to gain and which side the most to lose from the atrocity.  Beyond doubt, Israel had the most to lose.

Quite apart from the fact that the atrocity would be condemned world wide, the American President is due to visit Israel tomorrow and he would be bound to accept the revulsion at the massacre

As  it is, both Israeli and, more importantly, US intelligence were saying there was evidence accumulating that the weapon used had indeed been fired from within Gaza. And there is one other factor regarding who has the most to gain.

Hamas is well known to be ready to sacrifice the lives of Palestinian civilians if their deaths will help promote the terrorist’s cause, ie they had the most to gain from the disaster. Also, they have a track  record.

About a week ago 70 or more Gazans fleeing from the North to the South on advice given by the  Israelis, died when the were hit by what Hamas called an Israeli rocket. Only it was not.

Satellite images show that there was no crater as there would be from a rocket attack and, from other images, it is likely the explosion was caused by a car bomb.

Israel stood to lose by the attack as they don’t want to stop refugees moving South as the IDF prepares a ground attack in the North. Hamas stood to gain as they want to deter civilians leaving the north in order to cause more casualties among them to blame on Israel’s ground attack when it comes..
